A major road in west Dorset is to undergo overnight works across three weeks.
National Highways is carrying out a series of road safety works on the A35 through Dorset and Devon.
The works, which were started in mid-March, are designed to improve and introduce new road markings for motorists on the Bridport to Axminster section. of the route.
Safety improvements are due to continue between Bridport and Dorchester from Monday, April 8 to Friday, April 12.
Work will then be focused along the Dorchester bypass for two shifts between Monday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 24.
The work will take place under overnight closures from 8pm to 6am on weeknights only, and a diversion will be clearly signed.
The diversions will take drivers eastbound via the A3066, A356, A30 and A37, with a westbound direction in reverse.
The work on the Dorchester bypass will take place under two-way traffic signals.
