A person became trapped in a car after a crash.
Emergency services raced to the scene of the crash, just north of Charmouth, on Saturday, at around 1.49pm to try and free the person.
Two fire crews from Charmouth and Axminster Fire Stations, a supporting officer, the ambulance service and police were all called to the incident at Hawkchurch.
Upon the fire crew’s arrival, paramedics had already removed the person from the vehicle.
The crews then proceeded to make the car safe and provide traffic management until the arrival of the police.
The scene was then left in the hands of the police to await recovery of the vehicle.
A spokesperson for Axminster Fire Station said: “Fire Control received a call from the ambulance service reporting a road traffic collision near Hawkchurch.
“Control immediately mobilised two fire appliances coming from Axminster and Charmouth Fire Station along with a supporting officer.
“Once in attendance crews confirmed a road traffic collision, however the ambulance had removed the casualty prior to our crew’s arrival.
“Crew committed to make the vehicle safe and provide traffic management until the arrival of the police.
“The scene was left in the hands of the police to await recovery of the vehicle.”
