Traffic was at a standstill after a vehicle crashed into a field in Dorset.
The A35 near to Kingston Russell was temporarily blocked yesterday (Tuesday, March 19) whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
Reported to have taken place at around 6.19pm, the vehicle involved reportedly left the road and was in a nearby field in the area.
Firefighters from Bridport Fire Station stabilised the vehicle so that that the driver could self-extricate with the help of the ambulance service.
The driver was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that police believe were not ‘life-changing or life-threatening.’
Services left the scene around 7.45pm.
One motorist heading towards Dorchester said that they saw an ambulance and two fire engines race past them just after the turn off to Little Bredy.
They said: “There were points where traffic had not moved for 15 minutes at least. It could be very serious as it was very foggy around there as well.”
A local resident travelling towards Bridport got through the traffic, but said the fog was ‘really thick.’
