A man suffered a "medical incident" at yesterday by the coast path at the Golden Cap.
Coastguard teams from West Bay and Lyme Regis were called out to Golden Cap on Monday, February 19, at around midday to help a man who required medical assistance.
The man was rescued by the coastguard helicopter and once his condition was stabilised, the team handed them over to the South Western Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: "Lyme Regis and West Bay Coastguard Rescue Teams were sent to help a man suffering a medical incident by the coast path at Golden Cap on 19 February.
"The alarm was raised at about 12.30pm. The man was picked up by the HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from St Athan and taken to a waiting land ambulance from the South Western Ambulance Service which took him to hospital."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were called at 12:15pm on Monday, February 19 to an incident near Bridport.
"We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and we conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
