Residents have told how armed police responded to an incident in Beaminster last night.
They were seen around Gerrards Green and Flaxfield Road at around midnight.
The details of the incident are not known however one person says they saw armed police break a door down and enter a property before making an arrest.
Another person said they understood people were arguing loudly in the street and they thought someone allegedly had a knife.
They said police dogs were present and that police officers went from door to door afterwards talking to residents.
