A museum in West Dorset will hold a talk from a local finds liaison officer to discuss discoveries from the area.
Beaminster Museum will be hosting its final winter talk of the season from Dorset Council’s finds liaison officer, Ciorstaidh Heyward Trevarthen.
The talk will take place at the museum on Whitcombe Road on Tuesday, February 20 at 2pm.
Every year thousands of archaeological items unearthed by the public are recorded under the Portable Antiques Scheme (PAS).
These finds help build up a local knowledge of the past, helping to shed light on the daily lives of people, as well as their beliefs and traditions.
Ciorstaidh will be sharing some of his fascinating finds discovered in the area of West Dorset by detectorists, people out walking as well as those made after digging in the garden.
Tickets for the talk are £5 and are available to purchase on the day at the door.
