A local holiday let firm saw 30,000 guests stay at its Dorset properties last year, with one west Dorset village proving most popular.
Dream Cottages welcomed thousands of guests last year with a summer occupancy rate of 88 per cent.
The team revealed that its most booked properties from 2023 were in the Burton Bradstock area.
The company recently hosted a sold-out information evening which saw more than 50 holiday homeowners attend.
The event was also jam-packed with guest speakers.
Regional Marketing Manager Nicole Dewar said: “We were delighted to see so many holiday let owners eager to learn more about the current market and how they can tailor their property to the changing needs of holidaymakers.
“We have lots of experience, data and team expertise that we’re always delighted to share with those looking to learn more or considering joining the industry.”
They further revealed that the top three most desirable features when looking to stay in Dorset were a sea view, parking and being a close distance to a beach or town.
Domestic tourism boosts the UK economy by £28 billion each year, with over £7 billion of this spend in the south west – predominately in rural areas which outweigh other regions.
