A town centre pub is has closed suddenly.
The George Hotel on South Street, Bridport, is shut and a notice in the window tells customers it is closed until further notice.
It thanks customers for their support over the past year.
The Bridport News reported in January 2023 that the Collyns family, who previously ran the Pilot Boat in Lyme Regis, had taken on The George Hotel and were about to relaunch the Bridport Arms as well.

Mr Collyns, with 40 years of working in hospitality under his belt, said at the time: “The George Hotel has had an overwhelming reaction since opening in November, much better than expected.
"There is a lot of love for it in the community."
The notice which appeared in the window of The George over the weekend states:
"The George is closed until further notice. Thank you for your support over the past year.
"We are still trading the Bridport Arms, West Bay, and would love to welcome you there."
The News has contacted The George and Palmers for comment.
