A request to temporarily shut a road for water works in Lyme Regis has been submitted to the council.
Dorset Council has received the application from South West Water to close Marine Parade from its junction with Cobb Road for a distance of approximately 145 metres.
The closure has been requested to allow South West Water to carry out repairs to a 'defective reinstatement'.
These works are due to start on March 19 and continue until March 21.
South West Water will publicise the road closure in a number of ways.
They will put in place information boards on the road in the area to inform the travelling public of the work, and they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected.
