A fun family event is taking place in West Bay this half term.
The West Bay Discovery Centre is hosting ‘the Twitchers Museum Adventure, a wildlife trail where kids can explore the beautiful birds and amazing animals at the centre.
Children can pick up a free activity sheet to join birdwatching detectives, the Twitchers, and have a hoot with their family whilst finding all the feathered friends hidden in the discovery centre’s collection.
Once the trail is complete, visitors will receive a Twitchers sticker.
The Twitchers Museum Adventure is organised by Kids in Museums and Walker Books to celebrate the release of Feather, the latest book in the Twitchers Series from bestselling children’s author M. G. Leonard.
Over 50 museums across the UK will be taking part over the February half-term, encouraging families to enjoy a visit to their local museum.
The activity will run from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 18, excluding Monday, February 12 and admission is free, although donations are welcomed.
Families will also have the chance to enter a national prize draw competition to win one of five bundles of all four books in the Twitchers Series.
Kids in Museums is inviting children to design their own bird or animal sidekick and share their drawing on Twitter/X or Instagram with the hashtag #TwitchersMuseumAdventure and tag @kidsinmuseums for a chance to win.
