A National Trust support group in West Dorset will be holding its next meeting on Monday.
The Golden Cap Association (GCA) meeting will take place at the United Church Hall on East Street in Bridport and will start at 2.30pm on Monday, January 29.
It will include a talk by former National Trust Entomologist Andrew Foster, called The Studying of Insects for the National Trust. While Mr Foster is newly retired, he still completes voluntary and survey work for the National Trust across Dorset.
His talk will showcase examples of recent insect surveys in west Dorset to highlight the importance of the association's conservation work.
The GCA was founded in 1978 and supports the work of the National Trust locally, offering activities such as talks, walks, coach visits, quizzes and lunches. It takes its name from the highest cliff on the south coast of England – The Golden Cap.
Entry will be £3 for members and £5 for non-members.
You can find out more information about the meeting by contacting Chairman Mike Nicks on 01308 459855.
