The ‘largest choir in West Dorset’ is set for a Bridport gig.
The West Dorset Singers, formally known as the New Elizabethan Singers are performing at St Swithun’s Church on Saturday, January 27, at 7pm.
They will be performing contemporary music by English composers John Rutter and Paul Carr during the evening.
Many of their concerts feature an orchestra, drawing from the local area.
The choir was founded in 1966 and ‘has since grown to become the largest choir in West Dorset.’
West Dorset Singers generally only perform two or three concerts a year with a repertoire centred around the great choral cantatas, masses and oratorios.
Tickets for the event are £15 and children go free. You can purchase tickets here: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/booking/select/SruUqZnbwYdl
