West Beach at West Bay has been closed off whilst Dorset Council works to restore the beach after Storm Ciarán.
There's been no access to the beach since Monday, and the work was expected to finish today - Tuesday.
Visitors have been advised to avoid the area where the work is taking place.
The work involves moving displaced rocks back to the stub groynes and moving displaced material level and even.
A spokesperson for Dorset Council said: "We are doing some works at West Bay to restore West Beach to its usual profile following Storm Ciarán.
"Visitors should avoid the area if possible while these works are taking place, thank you for your support."
Storm Ciarán flooded and damaged businesses in West Bay.
On the neighbouring East Beach, The Watch House Café was closed after significant flooding and the nearby Freshwater Holiday Park experienced severe flooding and had to be evacuated.
