A popular fireworks and bonfire evening is all set to take place this weekend.
Bonfire by the Beach will take place on Saturday November 11 after it was originally postponed due to a bad weather forecast.
The free annual event held on West Bay’s East Beach should have taken place on Saturday, October 28.
The festivities will kick off from 4pm, with live music running until 9.30pm from musicians including Nina Garcia, Mustang Sally, and What the Phunk.
A Guy Fawkes competition starts at 6pm with the winner having the honour of lighting the bonfire, before the dazzling fireworks display at 8pm.
There will also be a fun fair, a food outlet, and an outside bar for everyone to enjoy.
A free bus service from Bridport to West Bay will be in operation from the bus depot between 5pm and 9.50pm
Last year’s event was a roaring success, raising £6,396.21 for local groups and causes.
Donations are being encouraged to raise funds for local groups and causes as well as aid the funding for next year’s event.
Visitors are also encouraged to leave dogs at home.
