Today’s stormy weather has brought heavy wind and rain to Dorset.
Crashing waves and high water levels have also been wreaking havoc in the area.
As a result of terrible weather conditions brought by the storm, residents of Freshwater Beach Holiday park were forced to evacuate their caravans and static homes.
A large emergency presence remained at the park to check all visitors were safe and deal with the destruction of static homes.
There was also chaos in West Bay with much-loved businesses like the Watch House Café forced to close due to flooding.
The Watch House Café on East Beach ‘is currently underwater’ following the adverse weather conditions brought along by storm Ciarán.
Owners believe that due to damage caused, the café will have to shut for ‘at least a week’ whilst repair works are underway.
Many schools were also closed including Loders CE VC Primary School in Bridport, Marshwood CE VA Primary School, near Bridport and the Forum Centre in Blandford.
Loders was also hit by what residents described as a 'mini tornado.'
Multiple homes were damaged and large amounts of debris had been strewn across the village.
One building had taken the full force and substantial damage had been caused to the thatched roof and gable end of the property and large trees were also uprooted
Destruction and flooding was also brought to areas Lyme Regis with plenty of debris strewn all over the place.
