The coast path from West Bay to Burton Bradstock has now been closed.
As Storm Ciaran continues to batter Dorset's coastline with heavy rain and winds Dorset Council have closed the coast path and have issued a warning.
A spokesperson said: "We are also receiving reports of people visiting East Beach, which is at risk from wave overtopping.
"Please stay away from the coast. Beaches, cliffs, piers etc. are potentially dangerous during Storm Ciarán."
Hundreds of homes were also without power overnight due to thunder and lighting.
