Car parks across Bridport will cost less as winter rates kick in.
As previously reported, Dorset Council raised charges at its car parks, including the Bridport Arms, Esplanade, Quayside, East Beach, Station Yard and West Bay Road car parks.
During the summer these car parks charged up to a staggering £15 a day, but they have now switched to winter rates starting Wednesday, November 1.
For example, West Bay Road Car Park will go from charging £3 an hour to £1.50, with a maximum stay of 10 hours for £9.
These rates will stick until March 31, at which point they will return to the summer charges.
The council says the increase was to be limited to "busy tourist areas" to try to limit the impact on residents.
