A theatre production of Robin Hood will take place in a west Dorset village in the lead up to Christmas.
The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood will be performed by the Travelling Players at the Burton Bradstock village hall on Saturday, December 9, from 6pm.
Families can enjoy the ‘mischief and merriment’ of Robin Hood and his band of merry men, which is being put on by Dorset’s touring arts charity, Artsreach.
A spokesperson said: “With quirky storytelling, merriment and mischief, the Travelling Players present a stout-hearted tale of epic proportions. Expect a great deal of swashbuckling, a number of ridiculous fights and some improbable archery.
"Packed with live music, puppets and far too many trees, this co-production by Bumblefly, Forest Forge and Mischievous Theatre is sure to hit the target for families this festive season.”
A second production will also take place at the West Stafford village hall on Friday, December 8 at 6.30pm.
Artsreach aims to make a positive difference to the lives of people living in rural Dorset, addressing rural and social isolation, develop skills and support health and wellbeing.
