A large number of lambs have been stolen from a west Dorset field.
It is understood that 10 lambs were loaded into a vehicle due to the presence of tyre tracks near the field’s gate in the area of Broadoak.
The lambs were aged around eight to nine months old and were of Dorset breed.
A disturbance was heard by neighbours at around 2.30am on Friday, October 13, but nothing was seen.
It is understood that the theft occurred between the evening of Wednesday, October 11 and the morning of Friday, October 13, although the information has only just been released by police.
