Buses are set to run at a reduced timetable for the winter months.
Changes to the Jurassic Coaster X51 and X53 services will start on Sunday, October 22, with a reduced timetable introduced for the winter season.
From Monday to Friday, the first service from Bridport to Axminster will be retimed, departing from Bridport Bus Station at 6.20am, running 20 minutes earlier.
The bus should arrive at Axminster Station at around 7.06am which provides a connection into the 7.23am train towards Salisbury, Basingstoke and London, as well as the 7.37am train to Exeter.
Also on Mondays and Fridays, there will be an additional service from Bridport to Axminster, departing Bridport Bus Station at 6.55am, arriving in Lyme Regis Square at 7.25am arriving Axminster Station at 07.49, this provides a connection into the 8.04am train towards London.
On Saturdays, the First Bus service from Weymouth starts later, leaving Kings Statue at 8.34am
On Sundays and Bank Holidays, the X51 service has been withdrawn, and the X53 has a reduced service.
Passengers wishing to travel to Dorchester can travel on the X53 to Weymouth, connecting into the number 10.
The West Dorset Western Area Transport Action Group has produced a timetable for the winter X51 and X53 services which is available to purchase for 20p from the Bridport Tourist Information Centre.
Until December 31, 2024 all bus fares with First Wessex will remain £2.
First Wessex have three routes serving Bridport: 6, X51 and X53.
