TICKETS for two shows by acclaimed comedian Bill Bailey in Bridport have sold out in a matter of minutes.
Bill Bailey will be performing at Bridport Electric Palace next weekend (Sunday, October 15).
Tickets went on sale at 10am this morning and were sold out on the website in just 14 minutes.
Announced last night, Bill Bailey will host his "work in progress show" at 7pm and 9pm at the Electric Palace on South Street.
Susan Warren, Manager of Bridport Electric Palace said: “Tickets for both shows went on sale this morning and sold out within 20 minutes’.
‘’To say it is amazing doesn’t express how we feel about Bill coming to our town’’.
“This is a magical moment for Bridport’.
“When you look at where his new tour is going, he’s performing in huge theatres and stadiums. So, say you want to see him in London, he’s at the O2."
“To have him perform two ‘work in progress’ shows here in Bridport is an honour. We are absolutely delighted.”
The billing for the show reads: "Come and join Bill as he road-tests new thoughts and musings in advance of a major new tour.
"See it first up close and personal.
“A genuine marvel…pretty much unmissable."
The show is expected to be a prelude to his worldwide tour beginning on Saturday, November 4, Which will see Bailey travel across New Zealand, the UK, Ireland and Europe.
The event is age rated 14+ and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets sold out very quickly this morning and both performances are now sold out.
