There was a buzz around Lyme Regis as crowds gathered to watch the filming of the Netflix show Heartstopper on Monmouth Beach.
The filming provided a welcome boost for the town, as visitors watched on with interest as stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke, who play the main characters Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring, were seen shooting a scene together on the sand,
Fellow stars William Gao, Corrina Brown, Isaac Henderson and Rhea Norwood were also spotted playing with inflatable beach toys and sunbathing.
Ruthie Webster from Seaton, watched the crew filming alongside her husband Rich and her family who were visiting the town from California.
In recent years, Lyme Regis has been the setting for films Ammonite and Wonka.
In 1981, the town was the setting for The French Lieutenant's Woman, starring Meryl Streep.
Ruthie said: "My daughter reads the book, she knows all about it and she was telling us about it. She can't wait to go to school to tell her friends.
"I think The French Lieutenant's Woman was the start of it, I was in primary school at the time, and the film crew came around and were trying to pick girls with long hair, I had short hair and unfortunately I didn't get chosen. They wanted all the local kids in the background.
Ruthie's daughter Georgia, 13, said: "It is amazing. I have read all the books and watched the TV show. It was amazing to see Nick and Charlie."
Daniel Saphorghan said: "I think it is great, it is putting Lyme Regis on the map."
Another local resident said: "We just came to have a sit down in the sun.
"It was a surprise to see all of the TV cameras, We thought it may be The French Lieutenant's Woman two.
"It is great for the town it has been very busy today."
