Pubs across West Dorset have been recognised for their quality pints in this year’s Good Beer Guide.
The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has just released the 51st edition of The Good Beer Guide with 10 pubs from west Dorset making the cut.
There are a total of 66 pubs from the whole of Dorset this year, with 20 are new entries, and a total of 27 breweries from across the county also feature in this year’s edition.
Compiled by thousands of independent volunteers, the guide reviews over 4,500 pubs across the UK, and is considered the definitive beer drinkers’ guide to the very best pints across the country.
This year’s edition also features Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson in the foreword, where the famed rockstar shines a spotlight on the cultural tradition of pubs within the UK, the importance of protecting their heritage, charm and welcoming nature of pubs and clubs, and not taking them for granted.
Pubs featured this year range from Lyme Regis to Askerwell and up to Broadwindsor, so here is a little taste of some of the pubs you can go for a good pint in west Dorset.
Harbour Inn – Lyme Regis
