Dorset RSPCA: 5 animals who are looking for new homes

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

Ariel

Gender - Female

Age - Six years old

Breed - Greyhound

Colour - Black

Ariel is an ex-racing dog who is quite happy to take it easy, as she doesn't require much exercise.

Given her breed and past experiences, she cannot live with other animals, which includes dogs.

Ariel would like someone home most of the day initially so that they can teach her the ways of home life, such as toileting outside.

Oberon

Age - 16 years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Grey

Oberon is described as a "very sweet senior gentleman" who came into the care of the RSPCA due to his owner's ill health.

He was a little shy when he first arrived at the centre but after a little encouragement, he settled in quite well.

Oberon has previously lived with other cats and dogs, and this will be considered if the match is right.

Additionally, he is not to be rehomed within five miles of Burton (BH23).

Sweet Pea

Breed - Lionhead

Colour - White/Tan

Sweet Pea is a rabbit that enjoys a lot of fuss and attention, and will often give you a bit of a groom when holding her.

She is very particular with her housekeeping, she doesn't appreciate being cleaned around and prefers to be out and about while her home is cleaned.

Ideally, Sweet Pea is hoping to live with a male rabbit, and they will require separate accommodation from each other during the bonding process.

She will need plenty of enrichment including hides and chew toys to keep her busy.

Dahlia and Daffy

Dahlia and hutch mate Daffy are now looking for their new home together after coming from a multi-rabbit household.

Both have been used to being around people from a young age, so they are both confident and inquisitive.

They both enjoy exploring and are used to being handled when needed.

As a lionhead, Daffy will require his longer fur to be regularly brushed to ensure he doesn't get tangled and matted.
