A popular exhibition is set to return to West Dorset this weekend.
Artists of the Jurassic Coast, hosted at the Eype centre of Arts near Bridport, will run from Saturday, 9 September to Sunday, October 1 and is open daily.
The exhibition is a group of seven artists who live and work on the Jurassic Coast, featuring a host of different art forms that now sees the event enter its fourteenth year.
Lovers of the ocean can expect incredible seascapes from Lynne Grace.
A spokesperson from the exhibition spoke more about what you can expect from her artwork: “Lynne's use of colour and sense of movement in her paintings evokes the Dorset coast in a unique and dynamic way.”
As well as Mrs Grace, the well-known seascape and landscape painter John Boyd will be on display. His paintings are described by the organisers of the exhibition as “evocative and atmospheric”, with Mr Boyd labelled: “a master of capturing the light.”
Charlotte Miller will also display her works, with her views of the west Dorset landscape, valleys, hills and orchards, gentle in colour and atmosphere.
Marion Taylor will be displaying her well-known paintings of Colmer's Hill and other Dorset landscapes, collages and small ceramic pieces.
Giclee prints, cards and signed copies of her two books; Colmer's Hill and West Bay, will be available to purchase at the event.
The exhibition is also set to introduce Barbara Green to the group for the first time this year. She has been touted by organisers as “a versatile artist who works in a variety of media, including printmaking and painting.”
On top of the paintings on display potters, Dave Emery and Maggie Cooke, will be showing their work.
Dave Emery's large-scale, highly coloured glazes pieces for both home and garden make his work eye catching.
As a contrast, Maggie Cooke's work is of a gentler hue, with the spokesperson behind the event saying: “Visitors will be delighted by her display of nature and seascape inspired pieces, seed heads will be jostling with seabirds in an array of soft, natural colours.”
Visitors have been told to expect an eclectic mix of artistic styles, colours and a warm welcome. The exhibition will be open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
