With tourists expected to flock to the seaside for the final weekend of the summer holidays, will there be sunshine or rain in West Dorset?
The Met Office forecast for the South West of England this weekend is: “Sunnier and much warmer over the weekend and into next week.
"There will likely be mist and fog overnight, but this should clear quickly in the mornings.”
A spokesperson from the Met Office added: "Whilst the last day of summer has an autumnal feel, the start of meteorological autumn looks more like summer."
For the most part, there will be sunny spells across West Dorset over the weekend with the heat rising on Sunday. Maximum temperatures will be around 23c on Sunday.
If you are planning on enjoying the weather this weekend, here is what the Met Office is forecasting for Bridport, Lyme Regis and West Bay this weekend:
Bridport:
Saturday: Sunny intervals.
Sunday: Sunny intervals.
Lyme Regis:
Saturday: Sunny intervals.
Sunday: Mist changing to sunny intervals by late morning.
West Bay:
Saturday: Sunny intervals.
Sunday: Sunny intervals with a high UV rating.
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist, Steven Keates said: “It will feel rather humid in the south with temperatures reaching 23 or 24C on Saturday, while further north it will reach the high teens or low twenties Celsius. Many areas will see fine and warm weather on Sunday as well, with temperatures widely in the low to mid 20s Celsius.”
