DORSET's county town will be in the spotlight on TV tonight in the latest episode of a series exploring our county.
Dorset: Country and Coast has been running on Channel 5 for the past three weeks and returns for its fourth episode of six at 8pm this evening (Wednesday, August 16).
Last week, Weymouth took centre stage on the programme and tonight narrator Alan Titchmarsh will take viewers over to nearby Dorchester for a look around, with Titchmarsh describing the county town as ‘steeped in history'.
The programme will show the renowned home of late Dorset author Thomas Hardy, which is now looked after by the National Trust.
Sherborne will feature again as the show heads to Sherborne Castle for the well-known Country Fair and Rare Breeds Show.
Dorset: Country and Coast will also pay a visit to Poole to complete the fourth episode.
All areas of the county have been featured in the show, including our charming seaside towns and the world-renowned Jurassic Coast, and readers have been having their say on what they think of the series.
If you missed any of the previous episodes, you can catch up on Channel 5’s streaming service My5 or watch the repeat this Sunday.
