Dolphins delighted paddleboarders with up to a dozen seen jumping and playing just off the Dorset coast.
They were spotted playing and following boats just off West Bay earlier this month.
Holidaymaker Mitch Hoare from Newbury was out paddleboarding with his family when he spotted the dolphins about 30 metres away from the beach.
Mitch said: "We were paddleboarding down and we saw 12 dolphins in two pods. They were chasing boats along the beach.
"We had a mother and baby dolphin jumping out of the water in front of us.
"It is quite cool. We spoke to the lifeguards and they said it is rare to see them at West Bay.
"The dolphins were lively and really inquisitive. They wanted to play. It was really nice.
"I have never seen so many, not even in Cornwall."
