Another significant rockfall occurred in West Dorset on Monday night.
A cliff between Freshwater and Hive Beach gave away, leading to tonnes of rock crashing onto the beach.
A witness said: "A section of the cliff between Hive Beach and Freshwater has collapsed leaving approximately 3000 tons on the beach.
"This has occurred possibly overnight of the 15th August."
Fossil hunters had reportedly already begun to search the debris this morning.
