A value womenswear fashion retailer will open a new store in Bridport this month.

Bonmarché will welcome shoppers to its new East Street store on Thursday, August 17.

It replaces what was M&Co. 

The amount of jobs being created has not been disclosed.

The Bonmarché area manager said: ‘We are so excited to be able to welcome shoppers into our new Bridport store.

“The store design looks amazing, and we are sure our new and existing customers will love it.

“We will open with all the latest styles including an amazing selection of transitional styles to prepare Bridport for the cooler months ahead.”

The store will stock its latest trends in sizes 10-28.

Collections that customers can expect to spot in store include the Lorraine Loves Edit which was curated by TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.

A spokesperson for the company said: “The edit offers a selection of hand pick styles perfect for the season.”

The company currently has over 200 stores across the UK including one in Weymouth.
