My wife and I have been holidaying in Dorset for many years as it’s a beautiful county. After the latest parking fees hike I think our love of the county has come to an end.
Take the beach car park at West Bexington, for example.
What do you get for the fees? A grotty toilet and beach access. The fees I am sure you are aware of.
Today, the 24th of July, the car park had few visitors who stayed long.
Last year and previous years it was a busy car park.
Tourism will be damaged as we are not the only visitors who are thinking like this.
