FORMER Beaminster boss Neil Holt has landed the manager’s job at Colyton.
Holt left Beaminster in May after a turbulent season at the Memorial Ground as the Rainbows finished 11th and bottom of the Dorset Senior League.
It came after talks with the club’s committee, while Holt cited player unavailability as a major factor in his decision.
However, he now starts afresh at Devon & Exeter League Premier Division side Colyton, who claimed fifth in the 2022/23 season.
Commenting on his new post, Holt told the Bridport News: “I’m just really excited to get going there. I’ve met the lads and they all seem enthusiastic and positive.

“We’re looking to build on last year’s league placing. I have an assistant in Steve Bedwell who has a lot of experience and I’m looking forward to working with him and sharing ideas.”
Announcing Holt’s arrival on social media, a club spokesperson said: “Colyton AFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Holt as manager and Steve Bedwell as assistant manager of Colyton first team for the 2023/2024 season.
“They bring with them a wealth of management experience in local football and we wish them every success for the coming season.”
