A Bridport art competition has opened its doors for international artists to apply.
Art Unlimited on South Street started hosting an Open Art Competition after it opened last year and would now like to open it up to international entrants.
The competition is open to artists aged 18 and over working in both 2D and 3D and there is a separate class for young artists aged 15 to 18.
There are five prizes up for grabs including the Norrsken Award for Best in Show with a prize of £2,500 and a solo exhibition at Art Unlimited, Bridport, Dorset, as well as the Furleigh Estate Award for the Best Creative Piece, Lyme Bay Dental Clinic Award for the Best 3D Piece, Advantage Digital Print Award for the Best Concept with prizes of £300.
There will also be a People’s Choice Award, voted for by visiting members of the public during the exhibition with a prize of £500 and the prize for the 15-18 category will see the winners work framed up to the value of £300 snd a two-week exhibition at the Unique Framecraft Gallery in Axminster.
The winners will be announced on Friday, September 15 at a Private View in The Arts Club Restaurant where an exhibition of the Shortlisted entrants will run from Saturday, September 16-Wednesday September 27.
The winner will be announced on Friday 29th September 2023.
The deadline for submitting an artwork is July 31, 2023, and there is an entrance fee of £15 per piece, and £10 per piece for 15-18-year-olds and for more information visit: www.artunlimited.co.uk.
