This weekend will see a contest to decide who will be given royal treatment at the Bridport carnival.
The fun event of the Bridport Carnival Royalty 'competition' is happening this weekend, on Sunday, June 25, 4pm, at The Ivy House at Groves Nurseries and Garden Centre near the Crown Roundabout, Bridport.
It is open to those between the ages of eight and 16. Just turn up on the day.
Judges will observe entrants working on a fun activity, learning a fun dance and having a friendly chat.
The winner, alongside two attendants, will be the centre of attention on the Bridport Carnival's royal float during the procession on Saturday, August 19, and again leading the iconic torchlight procession on Sunday, August, 20.
