A multi-award-winning Boogie Woogie pianist from Dorset has stepped in to entertain an audience following the cancellation of a show.

Ben Waters will perform in a pop-up gig at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis on Thursday, June 22.

Ben, who has worked with The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jeff Beck, Johnny Depp, Ronnie Wood and many more, is currently on holiday in Lyme with a group of friends.

The group wanted to go out for a fun evening on Thursday 22nd and looked to see what was happening at the Marine Theatre. Unfortunately, the show that was on had just been cancelled.

Ben said: "One of my friends said, 'why don't you put on a show?'

"I phoned up and offered my services as there is a big group of friends down and we want to have a party night.

"I am really excited to see if we can get an audience with just a couple of days' notice."

He will now take to the stage of the Marine on Thursday to perform a 50s rock 'n' roll night.

Ben said: "Expect the music of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Little Richard, The Big Bopper and many more."

This year Ben and that band have toured Vietnam, Australia (two times), New Zealand, Tasmania, Germany, Austria, Tuscany, The Isles Of Scilly, Japan - and now they will add Lyme Regis to the list.

All are invited to bring their dancing shoes and join the fun. The show starts at the Marine Theatre at 7.30 pm on Thursday and tickets cost £15 on the door.
