A green-fingered group is set to hold its next club meeting this month.
The Bridport & District Gardening Club meeting is on Thursday, June 15 at 7.30pm at the WI Hall North Street Bridport.
There will be a talk from Alan Eason on the 'Importance of Foliage'. He is a partner in a gardening business in North Dorset and very involved in the world of garden history and is an active member of the Dorset Gardens Trust.
Previously he was a head gardener working for Penelope Hobhouse at Haspen, now The Newt and for Lady Cowdray at Broadleas. He also spent a year at the National Trust property of Hinton Ampner.
He has been giving lectures to gardening clubs and similar for more than 40 years.
