A person has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a building.
Police were called to Fleet Street, Beaminster, shortly before noon on Tuesday to reports of a collision involving a car a pedestrian.
It is reported the pedestrian was unharmed, but the car then hit a building.
Police, fire and paramedics rushed to the scene and members of the public were urged to avoid The Square in the centre of town while they dealt with the incident.
The fire service sent a crew from Beaminster at around 12.30pm, who freed the driver from the vehicle into the care of the ambulance service.
The stop message, indicating the incident was under control, came at 1.34pm.
A Dorset Police spokesman confirmed one person was taken to hospital for treatment and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Police remained at the scene while the vehicle was recovered. and the local authority was made aware of debris on road.
