A sponsored dog walk to raise money for a pet sanctuary will be hosted on Sunday, May 14.
The annual west country stroll will be starting from a new location this year at the Half Moon Inn in Melplash.
Last year the walk raised more than £2,000 to help a cat and dog sanctuary on the Greek island of Skiathos.
The 2023 walk will start at 10.30 am and will be led once again by Beaminster couple Sue and David Wells.
Sue encouraged anyone to come along and enjoy the walk and said that those who do not wish to walk but would enjoy a supporters' get-together are welcome to come along to the event.
She added: "Funds raised provide vital neutering, vet care and feeding.
"If anyone can donate items such as flea treatments, eye and ear wipes or other medication, plus collars and leads, these would be much appreciated."
Skiathos is a small island situated in the Aegean Sea.
The Skiathos Dog Shelter was created in 1995, after the small island had a large number of stray and abandoned dogs.
They formed packs and people were afraid of them and eventually some concerned residents got together and opened a shelter.
The shelter now rescues dogs on the island.
