People who love colour and dressing up are invited to join a new informal gathering.
Bridport Colour Walk will be held on the third Saturday of each month from May in conjunction with Bridport Market.
Stallholders, locals and visitors alike will be invited to dress up - there are no rules – in fact the more colours, the better.
All people have to do is turn up in colourful clothes and enjoy the fun.
Bridport Colour Walk has been inspired by a colour walk at Old Spitalfields Market, Stephanie Edwards of Bridport Market said.
It takes place on the third Thursday of every month at the famous London market, where come of the capital's most vibrant souls and creative minds put on their most colourful outfits.
It is hoped that the Bridport Colour Walk will repeat the success of Spitalfields market and also that it will become as well known as one particularly quirky Bridport event.
Stephanie said: "When we heard about it, we thought this was right up Bridport's street, fun for stallholders, locals, and visitors alike.
"Bridport Colour Walk looks forward to meeting you on the streets of Bridport, wearing your most colourful clothes and accessories and you’re all welcome!
"We'll be publicising it for the third Saturday of every month May to September.
"I imagine it'll be embraced just as wholeheartedly as the famous hat festival."
Bridport Hat Festival takes place in the town every September and sees people don creative headgear and gather in Bucky Doo Square for a mass photo of hat wearers.
People are now being urged to spread the word and to encourage others to wear their most colourful clothes and accessories for the first Bridport Colour Walk on Saturday, May 20.
They are encouraged to get digging all 'fabulous colourful pieces' out of their wardrobes.
And for those who are more reluctant to go too wild with their colours, a colourful scarf is encouraged as a starter effort.
Bridport Colour Walks will then be held on Saturday, June 17, Saturday, July 15, Saturday, August 19 and the final event will be on Saturday, September 16.
