A team of skilled and experienced ladies gave us tremendous reassurance when my 92-year-old husband left hospital to recuperate from surgery.
He became very ill but instead of readmitting him, I was enabled by The Rehabilitation Team of Bridport Hospital to keep him home.
Each member has been so efficient and kind to us visiting twice a day under the supervision of the Community Matron, who gave advice on medication, physio and equipment. They are so cheerful and positive that we have looked forward to the visits.
This successful scheme was initiated by Bridport Hospital, now followed by Dorchester and Weymouth. How good it is to be able to applaud again the work of the local NHS.
