Some 40 stallholders showcasing locally made food, drinks and gifts are set to appear at an Easter Food Fair in Dorset.
The Food Fair is set to be hosted at the tranquil 18th-century Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens later this month.
The fair, in association with Dorset Food and Drink, will provide attendees with a wide variety of different cuisines to sample.
Whether it’s local cheese, funky craft ales, cider, chocolate, a unique piece of jewellery, or perhaps something beautiful or functional made from upcycled items - it will present a great opportunity to purchase Easter gifts.
Throughout the fair, there will be live entertainment from musicians Barbara Gasior and Aaron Carter will be entertaining the crowds.
Dorset Food and Drink Coordinator Caz Richards said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming visitors where they will be able to buy something small and tasty or perhaps splash out on a unique foodie or artisan gift. Either way, we hope that visitors will enjoy meeting the producers, discover new products or stock up on their favourites!”
The fair takes place throughout the opening hours on Saturday, April 8 with tickets priced at £7.50 for adults and £5 for children, while those aged under five go free. These can be purchased by visiting https://abbotsburytickets.co.uk/events/.
Martin Alderman, General Manager at Abbotsbury Tourism adds: “We are delighted that the Food Fair is returning to the gardens and to be working with Dorset Food and Drink again to celebrate the county’s wonderful produce and producers.
“Visitors will be able to enjoy the Food Fair as well as visit the gardens in their spring finery for one all-inclusive price – it’s a wonderful day out during the Easter Holiday weekend!”
It will add to the Easter fun at the gardens with a classic motor show set to take place on Monday, April 10 as well as an Easter Spotters' Trail at Abbotsbury Swannery from April 1-16.
