Detective work and dance will transport children to a world of fiction this Easter.
The Story Detectives - the latest project from award-winning dance company ‘Made by Katie Green’ - will be coming to Bridport Library with a performance on Friday, April 14 from 10.30am.
An immersive promenade dance performance, it takes children and their families on an imaginative journey through the library to discover different kinds of books, from detective books to adventure books, a dictionary to fairy tales, led by two characters Playful and Particular.
During the performance, the audience is invited to help Playful and Particular solve clues, look for letters and learn a movement ‘code’ that will help them on their journey throughout the piece.
Artistic director Katie Green said: “I’m thrilled to be able to bring The Story Detectives to audiences around the country on tour this spring. These performances are the perfect choice for families looking for something creative and different to do and a wonderful opportunity to introduce young people to the joy of dance.”
Tickets are free but must be booked in advance.
