Ahead of International Women’s Day Bridport Library has planned a day of events.
International Women’s Day falls on Wednesday, March 8 and from 11.30am on this day, the library will be joined by a selection of inspirational female writers.
Kicking off the event at 11.30am is local writer Gail Aldwin, who will talk about her new novel This Much Huxley Knows.
From 12pm to 2pm visitors are invited to bring their own picnic lunch.
At 2pm, guests can talk about other forms of writing such as radio with Maria Pruden and Sarah Scally.
There will be a talk with local Nigerian-British writer Nikki May, author of Wahala: a Razor-Sharp Debut of Love, Race and Friendship.
There will also be a Q&A session with Ros Huxley and Sarah Scally to round things off.
Running throughout the day will be a quiz with a prize of a book.
