A world-renowned Ukrainian band is coming to Lyme Regis, more than a year on from the country's invasion by Russia. 

DakhaBrakha will be appearing at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis to play their unique style of music which combines Ukrainian melodies with modern rhythms.

Their appearance in Lyme Regis will be their south west debut on Saturday, April 15 as part of their trip to the UK, which will also see them play at the Royal Festival Hall in London. 

This performance offers the unique opportunity to witness the internationally acclaimed act in an intimate setting. 

The award-winning band has won two prizes in Ukraine. The Sergey Kuryokhin Prize in 2009, and the Shevchenko National Prize in 2020. 

During their tenure, the group has released seven albums and has produced music for television and films. 

Marine Theatre Director Gabby Rabbits said: "We're so pleased to welcome DakhaBrakha to Dorset in the Spring. At this troubled time in history, it promises to be a special occasion."

The quartet will be playing at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis at 7.30 pm with doors opening at 6.30 pm.
