TWO star students are celebrating sporting success following stand-out performances.
Beaminster School Year 7 pupils Anna Wheeler and Joe Whelan achieved qualification to the next rounds of their respective trampoline and cross country events.
Year 9 cross country runner Tom Green also joined Whelan at the South West Cross Country Championships in Bristol.
However, Whelan upstaged his elder schoolmate with fourth place, helping Dorset secure a first-placed finish and gaining him entry to the national finals.

Wheeler, meanwhile, was making her competition debut in the double mini trampoline South West Regional qualifier at Bath University.
Wheeler took a magnificent gold in the 13+ age group to qualify for the South West Regional Finals in May.
Beaminster School spokesperson Nicola Chalkley said: “It was a great experience for both boys who really enjoyed the day – and our best wishes to Joe for the nationals.”
Of Wheeler, Chalkley added: “She was really pleased with all four of her passes and now can’t wait to get back to training. We wish Anna every success for May.”
