Firefighters were called to Nursery Gardens in Bridport after a car caught fire.
Pictures show firefighters tackling the blaze and the aftermath which left the front of the vehicle badly damaged.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A crew from Bridport were called to Nursery Gardens, Bridport at 6.48pm yesterday evening following reports of a vehicle fire.
"On arrival, firefighters found a car well alight – two breathing apparatus wearers used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Our stop came at 7.15 pm."
