BRIDPORT Reserves’ manager Adam Herring is hungry to show a “true reflection” of his side when the Bees visit Dorchester Sports on New Year’s Eve (1.30pm).
Herring’s men are hovering in 16th, one place off bottom spot, in the Jewson Dorset Premier League and come up against third-placed Sports, pushing for the title.
Bridport have won just twice in the league all season but gave Sports a tough game in the reverse fixture, losing 1-0.
And, with Bridport’s first team beating Axminster 3-1 on Tuesday, Herring is looking to capitalise on high spirits at St Mary’s Field.

He told the Bridport News: “Dorchester Sports are renowned as being a team that’s fighting to be at the top.
“We always seem to have a pretty close game with them.
“Hopefully with the first team winning and morale being quite high we can start getting a couple more results to have a true reflection of the quality we have in the team.”
He added: “We had a couple called off before Christmas with frozen pitches. This one is going to be on with the 3G pitch.
“It’s a good time to play. Everyone wants to get back out and play, they’re itching to get back into it.”
Dan Baggs is expected to turn out for the reserves but Harry Burwood is unavailable.
