BRIDPORT boss Chris Herbst admitted he is “gutted” to see midfielder Mo Hereka leave the Bees.
Herbst confirmed Hereka’s exit after the former Portland United ace scored in Dorchester Sports Reserves’ 7-5 defeat to Merley Reserves in the Dorset Senior League.
Hereka departs having failed to score in 12 appearances for Bridport this season, although he has four goals in four matches for Weymouth Under-23s.
Hereka’s last appearance for Bridport came as a 77th-minute substitute in the 2-0 win over Torrington in mid-November.

Speaking on Hereka’s decision to leave, Herbst admitted he could not stand in his way.
He told the Bridport News: “Mo’s left, he just said he wasn’t enjoying it to a point.
“I just said that’s fair enough, but it’s gutting to see him go. We need players that want to be here and want to play.
“We’re battling relegation and we need everyone on board. He’s a great character.
“Mo wasn’t fully getting in (the starting XI). We went back to a 3-5-2 and it doesn’t suit a few of our players.
“I just wanted to ride out this tough month and then maybe change formation. We were leaking goals, needed to change something and it’s obviously worked.”
He added: “I wouldn’t stop players playing, everyone wants to play and they’re not paid loads of money.”
