DORCHESTER'S MasterChef: the professionals star will once again be on our screens tonight as he battles his way through the semi-final.
In this evening’s episode, Charlie Jeffreys from Dorchester will compete against 4 other chefs, striving harder than ever to secure his place in Finals Week, moving one step closer to coveted MasterChef: The Professionals title.
Tonight, the MasterChef: The Professionals Pop-Up opens for business in a warehouse in Industrial East London, as the chefs face their first task outside the MasterChef kitchen.
Speaking about his love of cooking, the 24-year-old said: “I started as a pot washer at Yalbury Cottage Hotel and the chef there guided me into cooking. I gradually went further and further into the kitchen with prep and service.
“My mum also loves cooking, and we did a lot when I was younger. It’s been my passion from childhood, I believe I was born to love it! I’m passionate about taking ingredients in their raw states straight from the ground/sea/forest, being creative with them and making something tasty and beautiful for myself and others to enjoy. There’s nothing better!”
Now, these Semi Finalists get a chance to be part of this energetic and cutting-edge scene as they cook for 20 of the UK’s best pop up chefs and food entrepreneurs.
To impress they must adapt their fine dining style to the warehouse environment with temporary workstations, no ovens and limited equipment, and in three hours create a knockout dish with the skills, flavour and originality that the guests are looking for.
The four chefs then return to the MasterChef kitchen for their second task: cooking off against each other for an all-important place in Finals Week.
They have one hour and 45 minutes to cook their Desert Island Dish – the dish they would take with them to a desert Island.
Once the challenge is over, the judges will make the difficult decision to send one chef home while the remaining three will join the other professionals to complete the Finals Week line-up of MasterChef: The Professionals 2022 – where Charlie could be one of six hopefuls who will battle it out for the trophy.
