More than 20,000 lightbulbs are set to provide Beaminster with a festive glow at this year's Christmas lights switch-on.
The Christmas Lights Festival is set to take place on Friday, December 2 with Santa himself conducting the big switch-on at 6:30 pm.
This year's lights festival will also include a Christmas Market courtesy of The Anonymous Travelling Market and several local charities.
As well as the market, there will be live music provided by the Crewkerne Phoenix Brass Band and Prout Bridge Youth Band as well as some traditional Christmas carols.
The usual range of Christmas refreshments including mince pies, sausage rolls and burgers will be available alongside mulled wine, mulled apple juice, hot chocolate and more.
Beaminster School PTA will be holding their annual Christmas Fair in St Mary’s Church with a wide variety of local craft stalls, food and gifts for all and there will be an opportunity for kids to visit Santa in his very own grotto.
Also in the church will be Christmas trees decorated by local school children as well as the opportunity to enter into the “design your own Christmas jumper” competition.
